Argon Group and Prasetiya Mulya Colaboration Supports New and Renewable Energy

Indonesia is one of the countries committed to developing low-carbon and sustainable energy sources. The government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR-RI) is intensively preparing and discussing the Draft Law on New and Renewable Energy (RUU EBT). This regulation is expected to be a comprehensive regulation to create a sustainable and fair development climate for new and renewable energy (EBT) for the benefit of people in Indonesia.

Argon Group through Argon Peduli also plays an active role in supporting and increasing public understanding of the importance of the energy transition process through the development of EBT and energy conservation. Through its subsidiary, the Argon Group has also made an energy transition and gradually reduced carbon usage in its operational activities.

In this regard, the Prasetiya Mulya Business School and Economics at Prasetiya Mulya University holds the 2023 Prasetiya Mulya Business Law Competition (PMBLC), an event supported by the Argon Group, which focuses on organizing a business law competition for high school level students throughout Indonesia.

The PMBLC 2023 will be held from February 4, 2023 to April 1, 2023 and is conducted both online and offline at the Prasetiya Mulya campus and consists of 4 activities, including a speech competition, debate competition, webinar, and lawpreneurship race.

"The PMBLC is expected to increase the participants' awareness of legal issues related to renewable energy. Participants can also train their critical thinking towards the regulation of renewable energy and its impact on the development of business in Indonesia," said the Chairman of PMBLC 2023, Jesslyn Widjaja.

The Human Resources Director of Argon Group, Mrs. Nancy Kartika, said that Argon Group participates in this academic event to support the understanding of the younger generation regarding business law conditions, especially the concept of renewable energy regulation for the sustainability of business in Indonesia.

Argon Group has explored short and long-term strategies related to the roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality in the company's operations. "The strategy that we are doing is supporting the government's plan in the development of EBT to enable green economic development and its contribution to reducing the impact of climate change and ensuring energy security," said the President Director of Argon Group, Mr. Krestijanto Pandji.
